Under Quadra Island's Waters
Scuba Diving & Snorkelling
The marine waters that boil and race around Quadra Island as the Pacific Ocean tides ebb and flow from the Georgia Strait, between Vancouver Island and the BC mainland, feed a dazzling array of underwater life.
The diving around Quadra are world-renowned, reputedly on a par with the Red Sea, only chillier! Classic dives include the Quathiaski Cove old ferry dock, Steep Island and the HMCS Columbia wreck dive.
With a light wet suit snorkelling off the beaches on Quadra can be a lot of fun too. Be cautious of tidal currents at all time in and around the water.
